a New Content Type
Noggin released 30 pieces of interactive video. The team swarmed to re-architect the app into a scalable model that conveys breadth and depth, prioritizes the new play-alongs, and offers space for users to manage and watch their downloaded content offline.
We needed to solve for increased content offering, including a handful of Nick Jr. shows. A horizontal hub navigation structure and vertical scroll allows users to consume more content across more properties in a seamless way.
Finding the right balance of quick engagement for our kid users and potentially time-consuming download progress was the hardest part. Lots of testing and iteration went into shaping the right UI animation and micro-interactions to handhold and delight users.
