What's in a name

Blue Plate is a restaurant concept focused on serving high quality, locally sourced meals that draw from seasonal ingredients. I worked with the client to reinvigorate and modernize the idea into a concept that harnesses current food trends while maintaining the accessibility and home-cooked feel of the original blue plate special. 

Look & Feel

A balance of texture and typography keeps the brand grounded. The organic mark is a nod to all the nostalgic aspects (baseball, beer, and westward expansion) that make St. Louis such a tight-knit and proud community. The overall look and feel is minimal but subtly tactile which communicates utility and reliability to a town with working class roots.
